I will survive

It's been a few days since the fire that destroyed 2 of our contractors' businesses and we are still processing the information, working on contingencies if necessary and coming to grips with the idea of staying here on the hard way longer than we hoped. We are trying to look on the bright side. After all we could be stuck somewhere awful. And quite frankly, this isn't that bad.

Yesterday we went on a little dinghy excursion with Stella and found a nice little beach where she can run around. It was just nice being able to get back in the water. The water around the marina is brown and disgusting so there is no way I'm swimming there.

Mike and I have a lot of little projects to keep us busy, which is good. Thank goodness we are still able to get on the peloton and get our workouts in, otherwise I really don't think I would survive.

For now we will just wait until we hear from our contractors to see what they can and can't do at this point, before we make any kind of decision.
